Entrepreneurship often looks glamorous from the outside—success, freedom, impact—but as therapist and executive coach Mandy Morris knows, it’s also a pressure cooker for stress, anxiety, and self-doubt.

Mandy’s journey began in 2014 when she co-founded Mosaic Counseling Group, a private practice built around the belief that therapy should feel warm, welcoming, and human. Over time, she found herself working with more and more executives—high achievers who looked composed on the outside but were privately unraveling under the weight of their responsibilities.
“I work with people who seem to have it all together but are barely holding it together,” she shared. “My goal is to help their inner world align with their outer world.”
That mission evolved into something bigger: the launch of SoFree, a neuroscience-based app that helps users reset their nervous systems in under two minutes. The app uses bilateral stimulation—gentle vibrations, tones, and visual tracking—to help calm the body’s stress response. The concept was born during a morning run and brought to life with her brother, who serves as CTO. After the unexpected loss of their older brother, they found new purpose in the project: to help others heal.
“Stress is never going away,” Mandy explained. “But it doesn’t have to run the show in our lives.”
Beyond her innovative work in mental health tech, Mandy speaks candidly about the psychological hurdles of entrepreneurship itself—the constant uncertainty, the self-doubt, and the temptation to give up. “Every year I think, am I going to make it? But the truth is, you always do. You just have to trust yourself and stay consistent.”
For her, success isn’t about eliminating fear—it’s about reframing it. “If you knew what was around the corner, that’s not fun. It takes away the adventure,” she said.
Through her story, Mandy reminds us that resilience isn’t just about pushing harder—it’s about tending to the inner work that allows us to lead well, think clearly, and build sustainably. Her journey from therapist to founder shows what can happen when we merge emotional intelligence with entrepreneurship—and how sometimes, the most powerful business strategy starts within.
